Over the weekend Mark & I were able to go to the Darius Rucker (former Hootie & The Blowfish lead singer) concert while my Dad & Monte were visiting & watching Madek! And wow...it was the best concert I've ever been to. I'm not sure exactly what made it so good, the way he moved his hips or the way he sang but man, I couldn't get enough. When the concert ended only 1.5 hours in, I was devastated....oh well I guess it had to end at some point! I have since looked online at his tour dates and I'm hoping to maybe make it to one more of his concerts this year...maybe the Iowa State Fair in Aug...oohhhh that would be fun :o)
Valentine's weekend was also fun for Madek!! He got the "Cars" movie and a new pet goldfish. Fishy doesn't have a formal name yet, I keep asking him and he just calls him fishy....so maybe that is what it will stay! Madek also became a first time fishing pole owner courtesy of Papa Jeff & Grandma Monte! He loves to play with it and is getting the hang of reeling it in but not so much on the casting part....practice makes perfect right?
